Terms & conditions

These terms apply to orders placed with Youth Design Center, Inc., operating The Corner Print Studio at The Corner by YDC.

Orders and approval

An online estimate or requested date is not a production commitment. An order is accepted after required files, payment, proof approval, materials, scope, and capacity are confirmed. We may decline or revise an order that is unsafe, unlawful, technically impractical, outside our capabilities, or materially different from the information submitted.

Customer files and rights

You represent that you own or have permission to reproduce every submitted image, trademark, design, photograph, document, and other file. You authorize us and our necessary service providers to process those files solely to quote, proof, produce, deliver, and support the order. We may reject content that appears unlawful, infringing, hateful, deceptive, or harmful.

Proofs and production variation

You are responsible for reviewing spelling, dimensions, orientation, placement, crop, transparency, quantities, and other proof details. Screen colors are not a guarantee of physical output. Reasonable variation may occur because of monitor settings, substrate, ink, garment color, finishing, equipment, and manufacturing tolerances. A proof is a production reference and may not reproduce exact color or scale on every screen.

Pricing and payment

Prices are in U.S. dollars. Taxes, delivery, installation, specialty materials, design work, rush service, or other approved charges may be added when applicable. Production generally begins after payment unless written account terms have been approved. We may correct an obvious pricing or configuration error before production and will provide the option to approve the correction or cancel for a refund.

Turnaround, pickup, delivery, and shipping

Turnaround begins after payment, final proof approval, and receipt of usable files and materials. All dates are estimates until staff confirms capacity. Carrier transit begins only after production and quality control. We are not responsible for delays caused by incomplete files, customer changes, material shortages, equipment failure, severe weather, building access, traffic, carriers, emergencies, or other circumstances reasonably outside our control.

Pickup is available after a ready notice. NYC van delivery and nationwide carrier shipping follow the delivery and shipping policy. Carrier rates are calculated from the estimated package and destination and may be corrected before fulfillment if the submitted dimensions, address, or carrier assessment materially changes. Risk of loss transfers when an order is accepted at pickup or delivered to the carrier, address, or authorized recipient, subject to applicable law.

Cancellations, returns, and reprints

Custom goods cannot generally be resold. Cancellation eligibility and remedies for defects are governed by our returns and reprints policy. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method when possible.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our responsibility for a claim related to an order is limited to reperforming the service, replacing the affected product, or refunding the amount paid for the affected item. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses such as lost profits, missed events, or third-party commitments. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

General terms

These terms and the order confirmation form the agreement for the order. New York law applies without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Questions may be sent to fablab@youthdesigncenter.org.
